It really does. No, I mean it. We all know that our data is taken and sold and bought and used to target us to make us buy more things. That knowledge doesn't make it feel any less lecherous – to me at least anyways.


So part of this is for legal reasons, but the spirit of this blog post is grounded in the simple fact I respect people's right to privacy. End of story. It's been codified in the United States by common law interpretation of the Bill of Rights. So we have a right to decline button on our website.
